Chris Giwa maintains August 26 congress which voted him in still stands, daring FIFA's orders

Deposed NFF President, Chris Giwa resists FIFA’s move to sanitize the football house
After Aminu Maigari was reconfirmed and reinstated by members in an NFF Congress on Thursday, Giwa announced his resistance and further defiance
"I remain the president of the NFF, a legitimate congress elected me and that is how it is.
"What I have said [at a public hearing] is that anyone that is aggrieved has the right to appeal to the NFF appeal committee.
"If an appeal committee or the Court of Arbitration for Sport sits today and quash my election, I will humbly vacate office," Chris Giwa told BBC
FIFA does not and has refused to accept Giwa’s August 26 elections
If Giwa continues as the president of NFF, Nigeria will be banned, and if they are banned, the Super Eagles will not be able to honour their AFCON 2015 qualifiers against South Africa in Cape Town
CAF has already warned that Nigeria will lose its qualification berth if it misses the September 10 clash in Cape Town or any other qualifier.
He also told newsmen on Thursday, "I want to ensure Nigerians again that there's no cause for alarm as we have received the latest FIFA letter and there is no problem.
"I also want to tell Nigerians that FIFA will not ban us and they should trust us on that.
"We assure Nigerians that we will not suffer a FIFA ban because we know what we're doing."
